An excellent tutoring experience

Liz was recommended separately by two friends for Nat 5. She provided an excellent tutoring experience, extremely professional, organised and genuinely cared about progress my daughter was making. She provided a massive confidence boost and my daughter went into her exams as best prepared as she could be. I would have no hesitation in recommending Liz.

She’s an amazing teacher!

Liz has been really helpful for my daughter with her advanced higher Chemistry revision. I was looking for a tutor for months and even though Liz had a tight schedule, she was kind enough to accommodate some lessons for my daughter before her exams. She has a very thorough knowledge of chemistry and is amazing at explaining difficult concepts. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her lessons with Liz. Despite the lesson only being scheduled for an hour, Liz always made sure my daughter understood everything and was happy even though it interfered with her schedule. I couldn’t recommend Liz enough, she’s an amazing teacher!

Liz’s tuition was absolutely fantastic

Liz’s tuition was absolutely fantastic, and words cannot begin to express how crucial her lessons were to my understanding of AH Chemistry. Her personalised approach made each session different and allowed focus to be placed on the areas that were most pressing at the time. She was brilliant at helping me to understand the course and linked all areas together in a clear way. In addition to live lessons, Liz also has access to many useful resources and breakdowns of the course that are as up to date as they could possibly be. She also writes up her own notes, laid out in a clear and concise manner, that cover all mandatory knowledge. Her exam techniques are also 100% invaluable to any chemistry student at any level. Liz was also a delightful person with whom to discuss and learn this often brutal subject (the sessions seemed to fly by, yet were always productive) and had an amazing ability to assess what I was struggling with that I may not always have noticed myself. Be your questions unit spanning, such as ‘what is synthesis?’ or minutely nit-picky and insignificant such as ‘why would they remove that from the course?!?’, Liz will most likely have the answer, and is the ideal tutor for any chemistry student looking to achieve their goals.

Liz has been truly amazing

A lovely, genuine person and a fantastic tutor

 Liz was an amazing tutor – extremely patient, approachable, and knowledgeable. My son did not enjoy Chemistry until being tutored by Liz. She has such a passion for the subject that she made it enjoyable for him. I’m really strict with my son’s education, and I had tried a few Chemistry tutors before finding Liz. She initially did not have any spaces available as she was so busy, but fortunately was kind enough to contact us every time a cancellation became available. Thankfully, we eventually got a weekly space and my son came on leaps and bounds. Liz was certainly worth the wait as my son went on to achieve an A in Nat 5 Chemistry. Liz gave him the confidence he needed

I cannot praise Liz highly enough for her help in getting my son through his National 5 chemistry exam. He had been pretty much left to his own devices at school due to a shortage of chemistry teachers and was in a state of panic and wanted to drop the subject by the beginning of fourth year. Success with the input Liz gave

We suffered a terrible family tragedy just after my son sat his Highers which had a huge impact on him. He had, however, decided to take Advanced Higher Chemistry as one of his subjects in 6th year. He had always loved chemistry but in 6th year he did not seem so positive about the subject. He was still applying himself but appeared to be struggling. When his prelim mark came in, he had, for the first time ever, failed an exam. He got very upset and lost all confidence in his ability. At his request, we looked for a tutor and came across Liz. It was the best thing that we could have done. She was brilliant. She took the time to explain everything thoroughly to our son, answered all his questions and restored his confidence in the process. When the results came in, he was over the moon having achieved a B for his Advanced Higher. I am positive without Liz’s input this would not have been attainable. He is now at University studying Biomedical Sciences and thoroughly enjoying it. He says the things that Liz taught him are helping him with his course. Thanks Liz.
